剧情简介
부르주아의 속물 근성이 몸에 밴 아내가 역겨워진 페르디낭은 옛 애인 마리안을 파티장에서 우연히 만난다. 두 사람은 해안가로 함께 도피하지만 마리안은 곧 도회지에 나가 춤을 추고 싶어하고, 페르디낭은 해안가에서 글을 쓰고 싶어한다. 둘의 관계는 점점 파국으로 치닫는다.
